Terms & Conditions (Algemene Voorwaarden)
By completing a booking, you confirm your understanding and agreement to the following terms, which govern the custom, private instructional nature of your experience with Amsterdam Creatief.
1. Investment and Reservation
Reservation Fee (Deposit): A reservation fee equal to 50% of your total price is required immediately to secure your specific date and time slot.
Pre-Session Value: This fee covers essential pre-session elements, including the initial consultation, assessment of skill levels, and the bespoke route and curriculum design carried out by your mentor.
Confirmation: Your session is not considered confirmed until the 50% reservation fee is successfully processed.
Final Payment: The remaining 50% balance is due and must be paid in full at or before the scheduled start time.
Payment Failure: Failure to complete the final payment before the start time may result in immediate cancellation without a refund of the initial reservation fee.
2. Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
Due to the limited availability and personalized commitment required for private mentorship, we strictly adhere to the following policy:
Reservation Fee Commitment: The 50% reservation fee becomes non-refundable 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
Short-Notice Bookings: If a session is booked less than 24 hours in advance, the reservation fee is non-refundable at the time of booking.
Cancellations Outside 24 Hours: If you cancel with more than 24 hours' notice, the 50% reservation fee will be fully refunded.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the start time, client no-shows, or failure to appear are strictly non-refundable.
Full Liability: In these cases, the client remains liable for the full 100% price of the session.
3. Weather Policy: The Creative Opportunity
Sessions Proceed Regardless of Weather: Our philosophy is that weather is an opportunity, not an obstacle; all sessions proceed regardless of rain, snow, or overcast skies.
Adaptation: Your mentor will expertly adapt the route to take advantage of dramatic light, reflections, and sheltered locations to ensure a unique artistic experience.
Safety Cancellations: No refunds or reschedules are offered due to weather unless the mentor cancels the session due to genuine safety concerns, such as severe storm warnings or flooding.
4. Group Size and Curriculum Customization
Private Group Limit: To guarantee meaningful one-on-one instruction, all standard sessions are private and strictly limited to a maximum of four (4) participants.
Curriculum Autonomy: The itinerary is customized based on your initial consultation.
Mentor Discretion: The mentor retains the right to subtly alter the route based on real-time factors—such as light, crowds, and safety—to ensure the best possible learning experience.
5. Client Preparation and Liability
Mobility Requirement: All sessions are walking-based; clients must be able to walk or stand for the duration of the scheduled time.
Accessibility: Please notify us immediately of any specific mobility needs so we may design an alternative, accessible route.
Appropriate Attire: Clients are solely responsible for dressing appropriately for the weather; we do not provide clothing or rain gear.
Equipment Responsibility: Clients must supply their own camera gear or sketching materials, including charged batteries and memory cards.
Liability Waiver: While your mentor takes every reasonable precaution, Amsterdam Creatief and your mentor assume no liability for lost, damaged, or stolen personal possessions (including gear or phones).
Personal Safety: Clients are fully responsible for their personal safety and the security of their own property at all times.
6. Legal Jurisdiction and Instruction Language
Legal Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Competent Court: Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Language Standard: To ensure technical clarity and expert instruction, all sessions are conducted exclusively in English.
Client Comprehension: By booking, the client confirms that they and all members of their group possess a sufficient understanding of English to fully participate.
